 ​​Afro-Latin Jazz Alliance After School Music Program

Now in its tenth academic year, the Afro Latin Jazz Academy of Music (ALJAM) is a year-long residency program dedicated to providing vocal and  instrumental music instruction to committed students throughout New York City.  Under the artistic direction of Arturo O’Farrill, ALJAM supplies instruments and music instruction –including music theory– to students at P.S. 120 , providing them with grammy award winning instructors and top performing musicians. Students can learn to play guitar, violin, trumpet, keyboard, flute, and percussion instruments.​

Empire After School Program
​schedule: 2:45-5:30, Daily

Students in grades K-5 are eligible to participate in an after school program that focuses on academic support and enrichment, health and fitness, and social-emotional growth.  The program is free, and is run by the North Brooklyn Development Corporation. Students are selected by a lottery system.

ELA AND MATH Academic After School Program

P.S. 120 offers academic enrichment programs for students in grades 2-5.  These classes provide students with supplemental math, reading, and writing support to help them meet their full academic potential.

English Language Learners After School Program

The after school program for English Learners provides students with additional support in a small group. These classes assist children in becoming proficient in communicating in English, while maintaining their identity, language, and culture.

Science After School Program
schedule: TBD

P.S. 120's science enrichment program is available for 4th grade students.  This program allow students to learn science content, and to apply their scientific knowledge through practical, hands-on experiments.
